Good morning, lovely people! It’s been an incredible, relaxing break, but today I’m headed back to school. By the time I actually sat down to write this, it was pretty late, so you’re getting a mostly-photo recap. Hope you don’t mind, and I hope you had an excellent start to 2015! I’ll pop back in this week to chat a little more 🙂
I shopped a lot over break. Lots of time with my mom, plus some time with my aunt and adorable, adorable cousin.
I baked a lot.
My mom and I made butter pecan cookies, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, cream cheese chocolate chip cookies, Christmas funfetti cookies supreme, chocolate fudge cookies, peppermint patty-stuffed chocolate chip cookie bars, Andes mint chocolate chip fudge, peanut butter Oreo chocolate bark, and cookie dough pretzel bites.
I went to two hockey games with my dad.
{The Blue Jackets won both!}
I got together with some high school friends for our annual secret Santa party…
… and to celebrate Amalia’s birthday.
I got this incredible cookbook for Christmas. I read it after we opened gifts… is that weird? And I read Amy Poehler’s Yes Please. Highly recommend. Can’t recommend it enough.
I ate a whole lot of delicious food. Both baked goods (above) and “real” food.
{Famous egg sandwich from the daddy}
{Dewey’s meatball and barbecue chicken pizza}
{New Year’s Eve appetizers, including these, this, and these}
This is honestly just a fraction of everything wonderful about my break, but due to technological difficulties and time, this is what gets shared 🙂
Have a lovely day!
How were your holidays?

I got to spend them with a lovely young lady, so my holidays were pretty great. Now I’m looking forward to following your adventures over the rest of your first year of college. Love you very much!

It is so funny that your dad makes special egg sandwiches for you, because growing up, that was my daddy’s specialty, too!! Every time you mention those egg sandwiches, though, you make me want to try one. 😉 All your baked goods sound scrumptious, too…sounds like you had a pretty awesome time with your family and friends!

Must be a dad thing 😉 And it was definitely wonderful!
