Hey there! Happy Thinking Out Loud Thursday! How’s your week going? Mine has been pretty alright. It’s kind of the calm before the (midterm) storm for me. My first exam (econ) is next Thursday, and the rest are nicely spaced out over the next few weeks. While most of my days aren’t as heavily scheduled as Monday, I’ve still managed to keep pretty busy. A busy week means lots of random thoughts to share with you all, so let’s get to it! Thanks to Amanda for the link-up. 🙂
1.) The sky never ceases to make me smile. Everything from super-pretty sunsets to ominous grayness to cool cloud structures makes me strangely happy.
2.) I went to a very boring, very basic lecture last night. I spend a lot of time looking at my phone. And the surrounding room. And the floor.
I don’t know how long this apple core was sitting there. I do know that it looked pretty shriveled. Why do people do this?
3.) I’m a “millennial”, but every article I see about why millennials are different and special (like this one) makes me a little sick. It’s like the writers (usually also millennials) think we’re so much more enlightened than everyone else, when really… we’re not. Being on time and on task and listening to your peers and superiors are not beneath you or me. They’re part of working and functioning in society.
4.) It’s the middle (almost end?) of October. And yesterday I sat outside in the sun and ate ice cream in a tank top.
{Obligatory milkshake picture}
It was unseasonably warm. It. Was. Glorious.
5.) Speaking of tank tops…
This is one of my favorite shirts ever.
“To Do List:
Channel my inner mermaid
Catch a shooting star
Sing to the moon
Sleep under the stars”
Can this please be my real to-do list? This sounds like so much more fun that IR reading and econ studying.
6.) I have several jars of peanut butter (and cashew butter… and almond butter…) that I should make it through before I buy more. It’s only responsible. However, these look amazing.
I ❤️ Wild Friends. Also, I love seasonal flavors. I’m such a sucker for apple pie this and pumpkin spice that. But you know this already. 🙂
7.) I saw this the other night on Facebook.
I love it. Go shine today!
How’s the weather where you are?
If you could make a flavored nut butter, what would it be?
Anything else I should know?

Seriously love that quote <3 And our weather has been unusually nice as well. Normally we have snow by Halloween, but I'm thinking it's not going to happen this year!

I’ll take whatever niceness I can get before the 5-6 inevitable months of winter 🙂
The weather has been so nice lately! I had ice cream outside too 🙂 Also, that shirt is adorable!
I’m loving it! And thanks 🙂
Sad apple Core 🙁 makes me cry!)
Totally agree with #3 and #4! It’s like November!
And yes to the Wild Friends!! I have to order all those! But I just picked up one of the normal sesame cranberry jars which is the one flavor i’ve never had (besides the pretzel one which isn’t GF!) Haha!
I love the sesame cranberry!
Mmmm those nut butters DO look good! I’m also having unseasonably warm weather. My office is freezing cold though, so I am finally (just this week) getting a chance to wear boots and maybe even a light sweater, but I walk outside and feel like it’s a different season!
Most of our buildings here are the opposite – SO hot! I’m sure it’ll be a relief when it’s freezing outside, but now it’s a little excessive 😛
I wish my ‘to do’ list looked like that too! Cherry cashew butter?… xx
Oooh that’d be tasty. I just picked up some cashew butter recently – it’s been too long since I last had it!
I agree with you on the topics of millennials. They portray us in a pretty bad light most of the time, but it’s a prejudice that does NOT encompass all of us. Also, that sugar cookie peanut butter sounds heavenly! I need that in my life.
Exactly! And YES that one stood out to me as the “must-have” 🙂
Your milkshake looks delicious, as usual!! The weather is still mostly sunny here, just getting steadily cooler and occasional sprinkles of rain. Still pretty. 🙂
I totally know what you mean about the millennials…sometimes I’m like, “Do I have to take responsibility for my generation’s attitude?” :S It doesn’t seem like most millennials could possibly be like that, just a very vocal portion of them.
Oh, the possibilities of making ones own nut butter!! I would probably be queen of all the crazy, over-the-top flavors, like caramel pretzel chocolate pb…or flavor combos in that vein. ?
That sounds like a pretty perfect flavor combo, if you ask me 😉
