Hey there! Happy Thinking Out Loud Thursday! How has your week been so far? Mine has been good, but kind of… sleepy. See, I didn’t have a terribly difficult time adjusting to West Coast time, but readjusting to East Coast time is a little bit tough. Like, I-want-to-be-asleep-all-the-time tough. Oh, well. Vacation was lovely, and I think I’ll manage. 😉 Ready for some random ramblings? Me, too! Thanks for the link-up, Amanda!
1.) Did you catch my vacation posts yesterday? If you want to see way too many (but not nearly all) of my vacation pictures, click on over: San Francisco and Napa.
2.) While we were wandering around on our first night in San Francisco, I saw these:
Um.
Well, would you buy them? I’m sure they’re insanely expensive. I don’t know. Seems a tad excessive, but maybe this will be the norm sometime soon(ish).
3.) Speaking of unexpected things I saw…
… this was behind the Palace of Fine Arts. Okey dokey. Fortunately, no aggressive raccoons made an appearance while we were there.
4.) Everybody said how wonderful San Francisco weather is. Typically, June-August is the coolest stretch of the year there, and it’s often pretty cloudy. I was looking forward to a reprieve from hot Midwestern summers. Well, it was over 80° and super sunny when we were there. I don’t think any of us packed appropriately. Oops.
5.) I’m in get-ready-for-school mode. (Didn’t summer just start?) I just made the last two-week menu of some of my favorite dinners for the family until I come home over winter break and I’ve made the list of all the things I want to do before I leave for Chicago. Two weeks!
6.) I got my new Erin Condren LifePlanner! It goes through the rest of this year and 2016. I wanted a fresh start for the school year, and I’m endlessly excited. Organization nerd? Me? Never. Always.
7.) I slept bizarrely well on vacation, but nothing feels better than coming home and crashing in your own bed… except maybe being back in your own kitchen. 🙂
Yeah, I think I’ll spend today baking some. That sounds good. Have a fabulous Thursday! Do something you love, okay? Cool. Talk to you tomorrow!
What do you think of those jeans?
Any random thoughts I should know about?

You got an ECLP! Amg I’m seriously in love with mine, and I’m pretty sure I go a little overboard with all the stickers, washi tape, and coloured pens… But it just makes being organized and productive so much more enjoyable. And how exactly do those pants help keep your phone charged? 😯 Seems a little excessive to me as well, but the world is going all sorts of crazy places…

I have all sorts of decorative stuff for mine too! So excited 😀
Those jeans seem like a bad idea to me. It can’t be super great for us to have our phones in our pockets all the time, let alone a charging station ha And how heavy are they?!
Exactly! Seemed a little crazy. Unfortunately, the store was closed at that point, so I couldn’t try ’em on 😉
I can’t imagine those jeans would be safe and/or comfortable. They make chargers that don’t come preinstalled in pants for a reason… anyway, I am so glad you got some really good sleep on vacation! I never seem to sleep as well if I’m not in my own bed.
I’ve been debating getting a Erin Condren LifePlanner for the longest time! I’m just hesitant because they are so pricey.
I think I mostly slept well because we were so active that I was exhausted by the end of the day 😛
Do it! Once you make the investment, you’ll use it and feel all organized and stuff 😉 (I’m totally an enabler.)
Jeans that charge your phone….well maybe if they were workout leggings…. 😛
I wish more workout leggings had good pockets, never mind a phone charger 😉
How do you wash those jeans? Or is it like raw denim where you don’t.. Life questions. I can’t even with the raccoon. Though, you definitely don’t want to mess with a raccoon! They’re crazy!!
Haha I didn’t even think about washing them! How complicated. I’ll stick with my normal wall charger 🙂
Haha, that sign though! Too funny… Not sure about the jeans. I’m kind of with everyone on the rather shocking idea of having one’s phone so readily accessible all the time (coming from the girl who is trying to spend less time on her phone, as I kind of feel like it’s almost glued to my palm…aaaa!), the practicability of washing and weight, and plus, well, it just kind of looks dumb to me. Reminds me of the old chunky electronic devices people would wear on their hips, thinking how cool and technological they look, and now, looking back, it’s just ridiculous. But who knows? Maybe in the future, it’ll be so cutting edge and trendy, I’ll think it’s cute. 😐 :O
I feel like summers just keep going by faster and faster. And anyone else agree with me that the rapidly darkening days are *not* the fun part of autumn?? Please nooooo!!
Yeah, they seem like they’re meant to be practical, but I think they raise more questions than they answer 😛
100% agree. I like fall so much that I want to enjoy longer days!
Grandma will not be buying the jeans.
Neither will I 🙂
If only I actually WORE jeans… #LeggingsLife. I too desperately want an Erin Condren but alas I can’t fathom 50 bucks for one even though they are incredibly beautiful/amazing/everything…. I hope you have an easy back to school transition :)!
Thanks, Niki!
We have raccoons all over campus! I think they’re are adorable, but I heard they could be a little… temperamental 😉
Haha we just have really fat squirrels ?
