Summing Up 2014

This is an extremely typical post. Oops. Happens, I guess. Basically, I just want to say that this has been a fantastic year, and show you a glimpse of what’s happened in it. Photos mostly courtesy of my mom, because she’s documented everything and she’s fabulous at it.

I turned 18…

… and celebrated it with these lovely people.

I made my final college visits…

… and chose UChicago.

I went to my last school dance.

I managed to give a speech in front of far too many people.

And then they let me graduate.

I had an extra long summer. I went to the beach. And I went to Disney!

And then? Then, I left for UChicago.

It was scary and it was wonderful, and I met so many incredible people.

I survived midterms and finals and papers, with the help of my new friends. And my old ones. And my family. And also far too many Oreos.

And now I’m on winter break, which I will absolutely recap separately, but I’m going to sign off for the night and watch some movies, play games, eat more food, and just relax with my parents. Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing to celebrate the new year, I hope you have so much fun.

Basically, it has been an amazing year, full of adventure and love and learning and change, and I’m so excited to see what 2015 brings.
