- Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte lotion
Having migraines exacerbated and triggered by strong smells means I spent several years avoiding Bath & Body Works. However, since those have mostly gotten better, I’ve grown to enjoy the scent of some candles and scented lotions. This is absolutely one of them. It’s not a heavy-duty moisturizing lotion, but it does alright. I would never have known that a “marshmallow pumpkin latte” would be a thing that exists (not a coffee person), but I can now say that I think it would smell wonderful.
- Honeycrisp apples
I feel a little late to the game here, but my dad brought me some last week since I hadn’t been seeing them in grocery stores around here. They are enormous and sweet and juicy, and I’ve been savoring them daily.
- Salonpas and Thermacare
I don’t have pain medication that works for my issues. I do have these. Sometimes, I’m too stubborn to use them, but they do make life a little easier sometimes. Thermacare is more comfortable, but less adhesive. It works to ease some muscle tightness if I’m going to be sitting around, but not when I need to get up and go to class. Salonpas is a lot stickier, but it also feels stranger on my skin. It’s like a very deep chill, which isn’t all that pleasant, but it does make the pain more tolerable somehow.
- Kroger Greek yogurt
{Minus the icky Airborne}
Yep, this is weird. I really love Greek yogurt, period. However, I mostly buy the plain and vanilla versions of Kroger brand when I’m home. It tastes good and is significantly cheaper than the “fancier” brands I enjoy. They also have one of about three vanilla yogurts that I don’t find too sweet. When my parents came to visit last weekend, they brought me a bunch, so I’ve been enjoying that little taste of home in addition to my usual (delicious!) Chobani and Siggi’s.
I found Momastery last year and I adore Glennon’s writing voice and message. A lot of the time, “We can do hard things,” is exactly what I need to hear. You can read the entire story here (please do!), but I think all you really need to know is that in 24 hours, 21,598 people donated $475,141 in increments of no more than $25 to build a new maternity center in Haiti. Small things matter. Love wins.
Favorite takeaway: “Let us never say it is too late or too early to start showing up.”
That’s all for me today. Have a fabulous weekend!
Do you have a favorite lotion/scent?
What else are you loving this week?
I have such a love affair with honeycrisps, but they’re so pricey!
They are! These ones were on sale, so they were at least the same price as all the other apples. Unfortunately, I doubt I’ll have such luck when I go grocery shopping tomorrow. Oh, well. They were nice while they lasted 🙂
B&BW always kills my skin and a lot of their stuff has wheat germ in it, haha! (Bot gluten-free!) But I have such sensitive (and dry) skin 😛 It’s hard to find great stuff!
And Honey Crisp 😉 Love how great they’re been looking in the store! Them and Jonagold right now and my staples!
Oh, I hadn’t thought of that! So crazy how much stuff wheat products are part of :/
They’ve been so good lately! I can’t get enough!
Honeycrisps are the best – but like Morgan said, so expensive! I want to splurge and buy some though next time I’m out. So good!
I got lucky and these were on sale back home. Somehow, I don’t see myself getting more when I go grocery shopping this weekend unless they’re on special here, too. I should be a responsible college kid 😉
Love the list! I am crazy picky with the scents of my lotions, and almost all of them seem too strong for me. I actually combine an awesome but strong guava one with an unscented jergens so I get a mild smell. Liiiittle bit crazy, perhaps….
I do find many of them way too strong. And I don’t find that crazy at all! I usually use a super mild lotion all over my body and then only the stronger ones on my hands or something. Whatever works!
I am all for cinnamon, apple and gingerbread Christmas scents at the moment (probably a bit early but never mind…).
Best of luck for mid-terms. xx
Christmas scents are pretty fabulous 😀 So warm and comforting!
Thanks, Charlie! Have a great weekend!
I love the Honest Company’s lotion! It helps my dry skin better than any other lotion I’ve found, and from the very first, I’ve loved the scent, which doesn’t have a specific smell, but it reminds me of some pleasant memory I can’t identify, but I’m always trying…a vacation? My childhood? I don’t know…
I’ve been loving trying out new types of recipes this week! So fun. Also getting to watch some of my favorite shows/movies with my sibs. 🙂
Have a great weekend, Ellen! Hope you get some fun time!
Ooh I might have to try that lotion. I’m always looking for good moisturizing ones. Chicago winters are dry.
The lotion sounds like it would smell delicious. I love fall smells!
Fall scents are so comforting!
I love that marshmallow pumpkin latte flavor I have it plugged in my wall flowers at home and I love it. I am not a big fan of yogurt. I recently started to take a probiotic everyday for the benefits.

Love that scent!
I love that marshmallow pumpkin latte lotion!!! It smells amazing!! I’m sorry to hear about those migraines though and I hope this does not cost you any.
I definitely wouldn’t keep using it if it gave me headaches 🙂 No splendid scent is worth that!
I want that lotion!! I haven’t been to Bath and Bodyworks for years and might need to make a trip there.
Do it! I’m an enabler 🙂
Marshmallow pumpkin latte lotion?!? I’m pretty sure I’d just want to drink it! Bath & Body Works during the fall = heaven. I love taking a little pump of each sample lotion to try out!
Hahaha I do the same. I exit the store and I’m basically a walking advertisement for the place 😉
Marshmallow pumpkin latte lotion!!?! (hahah I just realized this is an exact repeat of Liv from above). I NEED to find this. But it also sounds like I’d be too tempted to lick my hands all day? Honey crisps are my favorite… since they’re more pricey I keep them for a special treat.
It smells so good! It’s a great little mood boost.
I cannot get enough Bath n Body Works. That place is addicting! And that lotion looks like the bomb. I definitely need some. My favorite is still wonderland … habits die hard 😉
I love honeycrisp! Dillons had a sale a couple weeks ago and I stocked up big time. They’re amazing apples.
I’m pretty psyched to go home this weekend haha. But I’ve been loving the weather! Have a great weekend Ellen!
I love that apples are durable enough that you can stock up on the good ones! Have a fabulous weekend at home!
