Happy Friday! Did you have a good week? Mine was pretty hot, but otherwise good! I’m looking forward to a fun weekend with family, friends, relaxation, and another massage. I’ll be sure to tell ya all about it next week. I hope you have an excellent weekend, as well. And before we get to that, let’s look back at some of our favorite things from the week!
Air conditioning
You knew this one was coming. Guys, we have a new air conditioner and the house is no longer 80+ degrees. It was only three nights, but… it was enough. You don’t appreciate temperature control until you’ve gone without it. Life is good.
Teal the Cows Come Home
My mom and I got pedicures last Friday before my aunt’s wedding. I got this color on my toes, and it just makes me happy. I pretty much always go for red or pink or something similar, but the bright teal is a fun change of pace. Are my feet still weird and calloused? Yes. But I have pretty toenails for now.
Catching up with friends
In the past week or so, I’ve had the chance to catch up with two of my best friends from high school. I’ve only seen each of them about four or five times in the last two years, and it was so very nice to have laid-back time to talk about everything we don’t usually touch on via text/letter/Facebook message. I love my people.
Victoria’s Sport
I think we all know by now that Victoria’s Secret is restructuring and getting rid of their swimwear (which I’m seriously bummed about). I assumed this meant that they would also stop selling activewear (VSX/Victoria’s Secret Sport). And then I was even more bummed because almost all of my workout clothes are from there. I love it all. But I got an email saying “Introducing Victoria Sport” and now I’m weirdly excited because my workout clothes are maybe not being discontinued…? Anyone have insights?
Banana “Ice Cream”
I’m exactly 3 million years late with this one, so bear with me here. Since Sunday was National Ice Cream Day, and I didn’t have ice cream, am not really eating dairy, and got home late enough that I certainly wasn’t making coconut milk ice cream, I decided to give banana “ice cream” a shot.
{A little melty, but still delicious. I topped it with melted almond butter, melted chocolate almond butter, chopped macadamia nuts, and 88% chocolate shavings.}
It honestly really hit the spot. Was it the same as “real” ice cream? No. I mean, duh. It’s fruit. But with a splash of cashew milk, some vanilla, and excellent toppings, it was a great festive snack on a summer day.

Glad I’m not the only one upset about the VS swimwear 🙁 The ONLY brand that had small enough sizes for me 🙁 I’ll have to take care of the 3 old ones I have….even though those are too big :/

I love that color of nail polish! It reminds me of the ocean–super summery. 🙂 I’ve made banana ice cream before and been pleasantly surprised by it. I didn’t expect it to taste like anything besides old bananas, but with some cinnamon and chocolate chips it’s actually really good!
Haha I’ve always thought the banana thing was a little bit of a joke, but it’s not half bad – and you can add allllll the toppings. Anything with toppings works for me ?

omg if anything, VS is bringing their sports wear up a notch. I’ve been pretty bummed about the swimwear line though, because i bought allllll my suits from there. wahhhh.
Also YES. Air temperature control is literally everything hahaha. So first world.

I do enjoy banana ice cream from time to time! It is super duper refreshing. My husband likes it too!
Also, I love that nail color. I’m not the best at remembering to paint mine though!
Hahahaha I let my nail polish chip almost all the way off about 90% of the time, so I can relate there! I usually have other priorities 😛
I loveee banana icecream! I even got a yonanas maker for my birthday a few years ago 😛
As for activewear, I tend to pick up bits and pieces from everywhere… and that’s kind of just so I can get pink, black and grey things which are my go-to colours 😛 Girl does NOT wear blue 😛

UUUGHH how have I not heard of the end of VS swim? (oh because I just had a baby and guess where I haven’t shopped lately, ha!) They seriously are the only place I’ve ever bought a bathing suit I genuinely loved. Say it ain’t so!

Oh wow how I wish I had air conditioning! Im not home most of the day, but sleeping is the worst! I LOVE banana ice cream- your toppings look delicious! I love adding some pb2 powder to mine to make it peanut-buttery!

That person has been having lies for full cream ice cream if banana ice cream bears any resemblance to it 😛
