Hey there and happy Friday! It’s been a crazy week full of (only moderately successful) attempts at productivity, long walks, and falling behind on blog-writing and blog-reading. It’s been a week for naps, starting to watch House of Cards, reading magazines, and eating ice cream for dinner.
Basically, it’s been a week for trying to relax a little more than I have lately and figure out how I want my weeks to look. I’d say it’s been a pretty good one overall and I’m starting to feel pretty good about my schedule and priorities. Yay! Now, it’s Friday. On Fridays, we talk about weekly favorites. Let’s get to it!
- This Asiago cheese bagel
{Look at the cheeeeeeese}
Yes, this exact one. I got home from work yesterday (hungry, duh) to find a whole bag of Panera Asiago cheese bagels (my favorites) sitting on the counter. Uh, sure, I’ll have a nice fresh cheesy bagel. Twist my arm. 😉
Lindsay is an incredibly talented recipe developer, writer, food photographer, regular photographer, and blogger, and she and her husband are extremely knowledgeable and open about turning blogging into a business. They also happen to be wonderfully selfless, loving people, and this post illustrates that. There’s a huge amount of wisdom in those words, and I’ve been thinking about it since I read it on Tuesday night.

I know. Raisins are polarizing. I like them. Also, I adore cinnamon. This stuff is amazing – sweet, cinnamony, and a little crunchy. Not that I’ve had anything from Peanut Butter & Company that isn’t completely fabulous.
- Trader Joe’s BBQ Chicken Pizza
Some people are very traditional about their pizza toppings. I am not one of them. Put anything on a delicious crust with some cheese and I’m a happy girl. Barbecue chicken pizza is one of my favorite versions, and this one didn’t disappoint. My mom and I split it for dinner one night when my dad came home a little late, and it was so tasty – and not just for being a frozen pizza.
- Friend dates
Okay, so this is a little premature, but my friends and I are finally starting to be free at the same times! Which means I get to see them! Starting tonight! I miss my people and I’m so ready to spend some time with them. ❤️
Do you like bagels? What’s your favorite kind?
How do you feel about raisins?
Are you for traditional or more experimental pizza toppings?
What are you loving this week?

Considering I just had my first bagel after so so so long last week…I love them! Homemade REAL (boiled and baked) gluten-free vegan bagels!!!
And raisins are weird..it depends on my mood, but I LOVE cinnamon raisin pb! I always add MORE cinnamon though ;P No one puts enough! And I like Wild Friends best (way less sugar than PB Co)!

Yay! So glad you found bagels (or a bagel recipe, I suppose) that works for you 🙂 I’m convinced that there is no limit to my love for cinnamon, so I totally get you there. And ohhhh my I LOVE Wild Friends. All their nut butters are perfect
Anything covered in cheese is acceptable by my standards ;)! I love cinnamon raisin bread and raisins in general… I don’t understand the negative stigma when it comes to them! I mean yes they’re kind of ugly and shriveled looking, but they’re still quite sweet and nutritious.
With cheese > without cheese. That’s math or something, right? 😉 I love cinnamon-raisin breads, especially toasted with melty butter. And yeah, I guess we eat with our eyes first, but still… don’t judge a book by its cover
That peanut butter looks to die for!! And Trader Joe’s has the BEST stuff. Seriously, that pizza looks great. Also, I love the blog Pinch of Yum. I wish I could come up with recipes like that!! I hope you have a great weekend. 🙂
Trader Joe’s is incredible. I could buy the whole store if not for money and kitchen space 😉 Yes, Lindsay is so talented! Thanks, Katherine – I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Oh my, that Asiago bagel looks divine. I haven’t had one in ages. I know what I will be getting next time I am there!
I like golden raisins but not regular raisins. They are just too sweet and wrinkly and kind of gross. The golden raisins have to be in something, otherwise they just aren’t good.
As for that peanut butter, I have never tried it but I want to! It looks so good. Nut butters are the bomb <3
Definitely get one! They’re delicious.
Life advice: try ALL the nut butters (like, as long as you aren’t allergic). Pretty sure I’ve never regretted it.
Raisins are just okay for me, but pretty awesome with pb, IMO! Oh, and with cinnamon…it’s just a natural and delicious pairing!
I love bagels! Any kind with cheese is my favorite. 😉 That Asiago one looks fantastic, and now I’m really wanting to try an Asiago Panera bagel!
I loved that post by Lindsay, too!! I really appreciate how real-life they are, and how willing they are to be open and share their life and heart. They are a great encouragement and so inspiring!
I could converse for hours on pizza, I’m pretty sure…favorite flavors, best places to get it, required characteristics, etc. I’d say, though, that I’m more one to try a pizza with flavor combos I find intriguing or interesting (usually this means less traditional), but I still love me a good cheese pizza…especially if it’s made with Alfredo sauce!! Yum…you’re flinging a craving on me! 🙂
I’m late to Friday Favorites again, but here we go…this week has been full of lots of clothes, so clothes-related favorites were to be expected.
1) Baby clothes. I could literally spend hundreds of dollars on all things baby. But baby clothes? I am such a goner. Our Fred Meyer had a sidewalk sale this week and I was squealing over just about every item in the baby section. I only came away with one thing, but everything was just too cute!
2) On a similar note…trying on clothes! I don’t know what it is, but even if I’m not sure I’ll buy anything, I kind of love taking a stack of clothes to the dressing room and trying them on just for fun. Good thing I don’t frequent malls too often (at least not without someone who helps me keep track of the time), because I could while a way a lot of time going from store to store trying stuff on. 😛
3) New movie genres. Usually, my favorite movies tend to be kids’ movies (hello, “Frozen” and “Meet the Robinsons” 🙂 ), but it’s super-fun when I get a chance to branch out and experience a new movie that may not be my typical style. Especially if it’s a movie my dad and brother already like. 😉
4) Last-minute family shopping trips. One evening this week, we decided to all pile in the car and drop by the local WalMart, where they had some really good deals on just about everything. Pretty much everyone was looking for something different, but it was great to all go together.
5) Reading time with a new favorite book. I <3 reading, though I don't usually get a lot of time to read actual books. This week, I've had a couple of opportunities to sit down and read, and I've made the extra effort to read a bit before bed, to help me wind down. I am loving it!!
Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Peanut butter and cinnamon make all things better. Ditto for cheese. 😉
Bjork and Lindsay are amazing. Role models who don’t even know me.
I’ve never had pizza with Alfredo sauce before! But I’d totally try it. I do agree that even though I’ll try just about any topping combo, sometimes nothing is better than a cheese pizza. Gahhh now I want pizza, too.
1.) Baby clothes are too cute. I’m partially convinced it’s because they’re so teeny. Mini food is cuter than regular food. Mini clothes are cuter than regular clothes.
2.) Haha I love it when the mood for that strikes! So fun 🙂
3.) I like watching movies with people who’ve already seen them. It’s really interesting and pretty informative to see what other people find entertaining.
4.) Family time is the best time 🙂
5.) I keep saying I want to read more… and I keep doing other things. Oh, well. It feels good when it happens!
Hope you had a fabulous weekend, Hannah!
EVERYTHING BAGELS!
I hate raisins SOOOO MUCH!
Anchovies on pizza – YES 😉
I have so much I am loving this week, and this coming week brings TONS of adventure!!!
Those are SO good.
More for me 😉
I’ve never had an anchovy. Hmmm I’ll have to try that.
I’m excited to see what’s happening this week! Good luck with the adventure 😀
They have the best asiago cheese bagels & danishes here in Kuwait. Theres a place called Pauls.. and oh my word. I could eat everything they sell in the bakery.
That sounds completely amazing! Eat some for me 😉
I wish we had a traders joe here- looks delicious! So doesn’t matter for a while craving for it http://www.wheretesslives.com
It’s pretty great… hope you get to find one sometime 🙂
Ahhh!! This bagel looks delicious!! YUM!… and I’ve had that peanut butter before! YUM! …I’m a raisin lover and usually eat a few on my oats in the AM! 🙂
