Happy Friday! I hope you had a fabulous week and are headed toward a weekend of whatever you need. I’m gonna keep it short and sweet today because it’s been a crazy-fast week. So before we get into the awesome weekend, let’s take a look at some of our favorites from the week.
Zucchini bread bites
I know I told you about these yesterday, but I’m still thinking about them even though I finished them off on Tuesday. You know I love baking, and I’m always thrilled when my experiments turn out well. The recipe is on Instagram if you’re interested!
Clearing out
If you saw my room or food supply you would probably laugh. There is still a lot of stuff here. However, I’m slowly but surely using up canned goods, getting rid of boxes and notebooks, eating up my frozen meat, etc. It’s always a weird time of the year when I start to not replenish everything, but it’s exciting and refreshing at the same time.
My last care package
My grandparents sent me my last care package of college this week. It was full of Bark Thins, 180° Snacks, trail mix, and caramel chocolates, as well as a Mantra Band. A perfect little pick-me-up.
Mantra bands
Speaking of Mantra Bands, I’m currently in love with them and want them all. I bought myself one that says “Breathe” in addition to the one my grandparents got me. They’re nice little reminders to carry around when life feels like a lot.
Taking my dad to class
My dad asked me if he could come to my Economics of Sports class today, so I emailed the teacher to ask. He doesn’t usually accept auditors, so I figured the answer would be no, but he said yes. My dad is an intellectual and a huge sports fan, and I’m looking forward to giving him a very small taste of the UChicago academic experience.
And that’s all from me for now! I’ll be Instagram story-ing the weekend with my family and I’ll be back with a real recap next week
Your turn:
What would you put on a mantra band?
What are you up to this weekend?
What are you loving this week?

I did spend 9 years as the baby… 😉
Loving being mentioned in FFF! And referred to as an intellectual even. That’s good for the old self-esteem. Looking forward to three adventures with my favorite UChicago student today.
I love that you guys try to guess my FFF 🙂

Ok that is so sweet that your dad came to class. 🙂 And your grandparents know how to make your day; those care packages are really epic. 🙂
This weekend, we’re shopping to get some food for a memorial service on Monday. And we’re going to church and having Bible study on Sunday. We usually do cleaning on Saturday. 🙂
We both have pretty fab families, eh?
Girl, I totally know what you mean about that end-of-the-semester awkward stage! It was always so weird NOT stocking up on food. And your grandparents have DARN GOOD TASTE ’cause that care package looks amazing! No big weekend plans for me. Some baking, some long walks, some yoga, some blogging. All the usual crazy Casey activities 😉
I keep buying chocolate… but otherwise I’m okay at eating through my supply of stuff.
Those zucchini bread bites look delicious! I might have to try them out.
If you do, I’d love to know what you think!
