One week down, ten more to go! Just kidding. It’s too early to be counting down – there’s school left to enjoy, and that time will go fast enough without wishing it away. Anyway, I only have one class today and I’m chipping away at that to-do list I mentioned yesterday, so I think I’m ending the week on a pretty good note. And to end the week on an even better note, let’s talk about some of our favorite things from the week.
- Mini M&M’s
Normal M&M’s don’t do that much for me (though Peanut M&M’s are an entirely different story), but I got some mini ones in the mail and, I don’t know, something about them is just better. On a related note, I’ve been eating rather a lot of candy lately. Sugar overload, and I can’t stop (maybe I could? It’s unclear.). Anyone else?
- Pretty views
So this could be an every week thing (it kind of already is?), but I’m back on campus and everything is gorgeous and I love it.
- This giant Merona bag
I got it while I was home and I’m loving it as a sometimes-bookbag. It’s a little prettier than my North Face backpack (which I also love!). This bag holds pretty much everything because it’s huge, but still looks quite nice. It’s a lovely change of pace.
- My schedule
First, I like my classes (though I’ve only had two of each so far, so I probably can’t fairly judge that). Second, I’m done by noon every day and I have the afternoons to be productive. This is very ideal since I become much less focused in the late afternoon/evening hours. Also, I get to enjoy afternoon walks and the prettiness of everything. 😀
- Cute spring shoes
They’re adorable. They’re comfy. They look like spring. You understand.
Have a beautiful Friday and a wonderful weekend!
What’s your favorite kind of M&M’s?
Do you like to carry big bags or smaller ones?
Have you made any fun spring purchases?
What are you loving this week?

Those UGG shoes are adorable! Even though I miss my sleep at times, I also love having a schedule that’s heavy in the morning and light the rest of the day. I get so much more done! Thanks for linking up. Enjoy the weekend!

I’m definitely the same way – I miss sleep, but I LOVE the productivity! Thanks for hosting, and have a wonderful weekend, Heather!
So fun! I can’t eat M&Ms because I’m dairy free :/ but my mum LOVES them oh my word! haha… and that Merona bag is SO cute! I also have a North Face Backpack! 🙂 …also, Happy Easter weekend!
I love North Face stuff 😀 Thanks, Cailee! Have a lovely weekend!
I’m iffy on M&M’s, but I think my favorite flavor is mint. Peanut butter is a close second.
Smaller bags for sure! I might be able to deal with a bigger bag, as long as it had a nice long shoulder strap; I don’t like big bags with short handles!
No spring purchases here, I’m trying to save money for a dog, so I’m trying to spend my money carefully. Not very fun, but I can enjoy other people’s new stuff! I love those shoes…so cute! I probably couldn’t pull them off (I am definitely not a fashionista!), but I get thrills from cute shoes. 😀
My Friday favorites:
1. The Honest Company’s products, especially their conditioner. I’ve only used one product of theirs that I didn’t just love, and even then, it still worked ok. Their conditioner seems really expensive if you look at the price of the size of the bottle, but the awesome thing is that you don’t have to use that much, and a little goes a long way! Plus, it doesn’t have SLS, which my sister reacts to and we try to avoid, and no silicones, which we also try to avoid. And it smells so much better than the stuff I used to use, which just makes me happy! I feel so much better now when I take a shower, because I feel like I’m pampering myself or something. 😛
2. Our local produce stand. Our family is always a little behind when it comes to trends, and so we are just discovering *why* it is that people are saying you should buy organic. We can’t afford to go whole hog at this point, though, so we’ve been trying to focus on the dirty dozen. Our local produce stand (<- very lucky right there!) is just opening up for the season, and the owner announced that he has a new organic supplier, and he is trying to focus specifically on the dirty dozen. I love his produce over grocery store stuff any day, but it used to be more of a treat. Now we are probably going to be shopping there regularly! Yay!
3. My music. I listen to music A LOT. It has helped me get through pretty much anything life throws at me, and I couldn't live without it. I've also learned not to underestimate the old classics from my childhood; they can be just as helpful sometimes! Whether it's the message or the memories, I like to throw one in every-once-in-a-while on a playlist. Since I've been extra moody this week, I've appreciated my music more. 🙂
4. My 2.5 year old cousin's version of dancing. (Well, technically she's my second cousin, by we call each other cousins. :D) The rules are simple; you start with "her song", then anything goes. You dance, spin, wave your arms, or whatever, and you get extra points if you spin her or make her fly. (And there's always plenty of laughter involved!) You do this until you are hot and tired, then you flop on the floor and rest until you're ready to go again. And the best part is, no matter how dumb you feel, she doesn't care. She just imitates you, and keeps laughing and dancing.
5. Spring. Even though we had spring weather in February, we had a set-back to rain in March, so I'm soaking up the sunny April weather. Spring is my favorite season, where everything is coming to life again; it just makes me happier! And it didn't have the heavy feeling of summer (although I love summer, too!)
Oh, and I am so jealous of your views… You LIVE with that?! So cool!
Oooh mint M&M’s are yummy. Also, yeah, I just carry too much stuff for smaller bags usually. But I agree that shoulder straps are a necessity. Ahhh I hope you get a dog – dogs are the BEST.
I’m so jealous of your local produce! Yum! I love your cousin’s style of dancing. That sounds like endless fun, and I love how free little kids are. Spring is wonderful and I’m soaking up as much of it as I can!
I feel sooo lucky to be in such a pretty place. Sometimes I think I must look ridiculous because I seriously just look all around (and neglect to watch where I’m going…) when I’m walking anywhere on campus because it is SO STUNNING.
Have a lovely weekend 🙂
Yay! It’s Friday! *happy dance*
Pretzel M&Ms… I’m not a big M&Ms fan, but the pretzel ones are close to snackable addiction. The peanut butter ones are okay, too, though the pb tastes a little fake.
I guess I prefer more medium size bags. When I go places, I have a lot of stuff I want to take, but I hate looking like I’m shouldering a weeklong survival pack. 😛
Love your shoes! The only sort of seasonal purchase I’ve made was more of a summer buy (can you tell I’m ready for some warmth?) and that was no-show socks.
My Friday favorites! 🙂
1) WinCo’s grind-your-own nut butters. I don’t know what makes them different, but once I start eating them, it’s nearly impossible to stop. I try to pick a favorite between their almond and peanut butters (I like almond butter, but usually I’m squarely on the peanut butter side of life), but I can’t!
2) This awesome herbal melatonin my naturopath gave us. Every time I take it, it works like a charm, relaxing me and helping me sleep better than the other sublingual stuff I used to take.
3) Writing in my journal (as you probably noticed, I’ve been doing a lot of journaling lately 😛 ). I love reliving the stories as I write and striving to find the perfect words to describe my perceptions and feelings in the situation.
4) Taking pictures with our DSLR Canon Rebel camera. I LOVE that thing…recently, I’ve been more likely to use my phone camera, just because it’s always with me and it’s convenient. But I used it this week and was reminded once again of how and why I love it. The pictures come out beautiful, and make me look like I’m a much better photographer than I really am. 😉
Haha I’m definitely guilty of carrying bags that look as big as me (that tote up there? enormous!).
I feel like some variety of nut butter would make my Friday favorites every week 😉 LOVE it.
I’m glad melatonin is working for you! I took it for a long time, and it definitely can be useful.
Yay for journaling time! Any time you can relax and reflect is pretty good 🙂
I am largely an iPhone photographer (as you can probably tell), but more out of convenience than anything else. I LOVE playing with fancy cameras!
Enjoy your weekend 🙂
Peanut M&Ms are my jam! 🙂 I’m not a big fan of the plain chocolate ones… but the peanut is so good. That tote is just lovely. What color did you get it in? I recently got a tote from Target also. Target is definitely a great place!
I completely agree about the M&M’s! The peanut ones are soooo addictive 🙂
Thanks! I got it in grey. And yes. Target is my favorite <3
Ugh I LOVE all UGG shoes. I actually had a pair of UGG flip flops which were amazingly comfy. Yours are so cute!
UGG flip flops sound fabulous! Flip flops are my favorite <3
I can totally relate to your sugar overload, haha! We only have mini Smarties in Germany but you really made me want some mini M&Ms right now ^_^

Mini Smarties sound pretty good, too 🙂

I love M&Ms! (My initials are also “m” and “m;” coincidence? I think not! 😉 )
Those are such cute shoes! They look so comfy yet classy 🙂
What’s your major in college? I’m graduating high school this year and finally settled on which college I’ll be going to this fall (!!)
Haha that’s so cute. And thanks! They’re definitely comfy shoes 😀
I’m an intended economics major (that could still change – I haven’t officially declared a major yet). What are you thinking about studying? Congrats on choosing a school! It’s such a fun (big, but fun) decision!!
