HI. Happy Friday! I am high on carbs (it’s been a super snacky day) and being home right now, and I haven’t done one of these for a couple weeks, so I want to share some of my favorite things from this week with you. Last week, as you might have seen on Instagram, I randomly felt like I got hit by a truck last Thursday and Friday, so blogging was outta the question. But exams are over, I’ve missed you, and I’m happy to be back. So, let’s kick off the weekend the right way – by looking back at some of the best things from the week.
Roti Modern Mediterranean
After my last exam on Tuesday, I had dinner with Susie at Roti and it was freaking delicious. I had a salad with spinach, arugula, romaine, chicken kabob, tomato and cucumber, lemon oregano pickles, pickled onions, red shug, and a side of pita. The pita? Amazing. The red shug? Spicy and wonderful as all get out. And, of course, fantastic company. The harsh overhead lighting left a little to be desired, but you can’t always have it all.
Bai5 Andes Coconut Lime
I’ve only ever seen the regular Molokai Coconut Bai, which I adore, but I saw this and knew I had to get it. It was incredible. I sipped it all the way through my last class on Wednesday and would officially like to drink it forever. Please and thank you.
Giveaways
I’ve just been having really good giveaway luck this week. I won a Love Grown + Wild Friends giveaway on Monday and Ellie’s Healthy Human giveaway yesterday.
Speaking of giveaways, you should go enter mine! 🙂 Win some yummy water!
The sweetest roommates
I don’t know if you got the impression, but during my first two years of college, my roommates situations were… interesting. And not super ideal. This year, I just would like to say that I live with three super lovely, considerate, inspiring people and they know my love of chocolate and yoga, and got me some to celebrate my birthday/end of finals. They’re amazing.
Being home
Duh. My whole body relaxed within 16 hours of being home. I’ve been crazy bloated and had little painful ulcers in my mouth (this is seriously what happens to me when I’m stressed…it’s great) for about two weeks, and now I’m totally fine.
I wrote my revised crime story yesterday from the comfort of my couch while eating 300 snacks and walked my dog in the prettiest weather. Today I’m going grocery shopping so I stop eating only cereal all day, to the restaurant to finalize details of the menu for my 21st birthday party, and then out to a family dinner out before a hockey game with my dad. I love home.
Loving lately: @RotiModernMed, @drinkbai, and really great roommates. #fituniversity #FitFluential Share on XAnd that’s all for this week! Have a fabulous weekend and I’ll talk to you on Monday!
Your turn:
Do you like pickled things? Give me ALL OF THEM.
What are you loving this week?
Any exciting plans for the weekend?

Hiii hope you’re having a good week ❤
Oh gosh my roommate freshman year would give me the silent treatment when I had NO idea what I had done. She found out my plans one time, invited herself, then stole my friend…I know what interesting roommates are like. So sorry you had to deal with that for two years!
LOL no worries. Got some good stories and experience dealing with people I guess ?
Pickled things ALL OF THEM. Especially picked beets. Always ask for extra when I get mediterranean. Home sounds GLORIOUS. I am jealous, but happy to know you are sinking into the couch relaxing and have a good stash of chocolate to get you through. ENJOY girl.
Pickled beets are the BEST. I hope you’re having a great week!
Isn’t it crazy what stress does to our bodies? This makes me think of Robyn at the Real Life R.D. sharing on Instagram stories yesterday about how if life is super stressful that produces cortisol + exercise produces cortisol if it’s really intense, so she recommended doing more gentle exercise. I love her advice, and I’m learning to be more gentle about that intense exercise.
It made me smile so much when I saw all the delicious chocolate you got from your room mates. You are seriously blessed you sweet girl.
SLEEP so much at home and refuel that body and mind and soul. <3 You need it.
I’ve definitely been switching to walking and yoga mostly lately. It’s for the best for me right now! Love Robyn and Cody!
And I am indeed so lucky ❤
I’m loving that today’s my day off (I work this weekend) and I’m doing nothing but hang out with my family, bake and eat all day! 😉
I need to get some baking time in!
Aww your roommates are so sweet to give you some of your favorites! I’m so glad you have a better living situation this year.
Plans for the weekend: start off my spring break and head to the mountains!
I hope you had a wonderful break, Liv!
YAY! So glad you are home and enjoying yourself.
Celebrate the ending of exams and enjoy your weekend!
Hope you’re doing well in this busy week, girl!
Panera has a great roasted beet salad with pickled red onions. I like most things pickled, but these are superb!
Ah that sounds amazing!
I love those Bai drinks so much!! I am glad you are home and relaxing. Seriously nothing better than getting to just chill at home.
So true!
Oooh! You are having a lucky week! And what delicious prizes to win!
Hooray for having awesome (and super sweet!) roommates this year too!
It’s been a good time for sure!
