After a couple (fairly relaxing, unproductive) days a little off-schedule due to having a doctor’s appointment and my mom in town, I’m headed for a very normal, very busy school-y kind of weekend. That is, it’s a paper-writing weekend on my end (ummm… yay?). I have some fun stuff planned with friends tonight, and a group of us are cooking dinner together tomorrow, but otherwise, I’m planning to do quite a bit of work. Oh, well. It has to happen sometime, and I’ll try to make the best of it!
That said, it’s been a good week over here. Let’s take a look at some of the reasons why!
- A dozen mini oatmeal chocolate chip cookies
How could that be a bad thing? Between my classes and before my mom left for home yesterday, we went to Potbelly for lunch. As we were checking out, my mom offered to buy me these to take back to my dorm. Could I Did I want to refuse? No way. They’re delicious!
- My iPad
Honestly, I don’t typically use my iPad very much. I just prefer my laptop. But I’m without my computer (though my mom did generously lend me hers to write my paper on this weekend) and my iPad has all my bookmarks (and also the passwords I’m bad at remembering) on it. It’s been nice to have – especially since I finally updated it the other night!
- It’s ninth week
I love school. I truly do. But this week has been great because not only is there the anticipation of wrapping up this quarter, but there’s the excitement of what’s coming next quarter. Not to mention that I haven’t had a ton of assignments due this week, I’m done with midterms, and it’s almost spring break! 🙂
- The ProCamera app
I’m still getting the hang of it, but the HDR extension on this app makes taking iPhone pictures not the same as taking bad pictures – or pictures that require copious editing. I have a nice point-and-shoot, but it’s just not always as convenient. Hopefully, this will help me improve my photo quality a bit!
- Wheat Thins… and Chipotle
You might have noticed I have a crazy sweet tooth. Sweet foods trump salty foods almost all the time for me. I just opened a box of Wheat Thins my parents sent me, though, and that kind of goes straight out the window where these things are involved. So simple, but so tasty. Love ’em. Another not-so-sweet love?
Chipotle. But you already knew that. I still had to include it. You understand.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone!
Sweet or salty?
What have you been loving this week?

I go through the cycle of eating something salty then wanting something sweet and then I want something salty again. I stir towards the sweet and salty, like kettle corn popcorn or I combine the two flavors sweet and salty myself. I like Wheat Thins a lot, I haven’t had them in a while but they are quite good.

Haha I do that, too. I guess the only solution is to combine them or eat constantly. What a hardship 😉
I love my iPad! I’m on it 24/7. I often use it more than my computer, because it’s so easy!
I’m becoming reacquainted with mine, and I actually do like it a lot!
I’m normally a sweet kind of girl as well, but every so often I’ll get hit with an out of control salty craving. And stoppppp taunting me with the Chipotle pictures! It’s not fair that we don’t have it up here 😥
Last Chipotle pic for a while! But I’ll put a warning next time so you know to look away 🙂 The next time you’re visiting the US, you’re going to Hawaii, right? Is there Chipotle there? Also, is it worth foregoing special Hawaii food for Chipotle?
Sorry about your computer; hope you get it back soon!!
Sweet, 100%!! Do I ever get a salty craving?! Not sure… Although sweet + salty, now we’re talking, and I definitely get cravings for that!
Loving this week…
1) Weird, I know, but steri-strips. For real. Those things are awesome.
2) The Honest Company conditioner. I’ve been (and still am) addicted to the smell of the Yes to Carrots products, but I love that The Honest Company’s stuff doesn’t have any unknown chemical additives. Bonus: you only have to use a tiny bit of the conditioner and your hair feels wonderful.
3) Listening to my favorite music and singing and dancing like no one’s around!! Makes me feel like I can do pretty much anything! 🙂
Sweet and salty is the best!
Haha I just had to look up Steri-Strips, but they definitely sound useful. And you know I love personal dance parties 😀 I’ve certainly had a few this week!
Carpets cleaned; humidifier installed on our furnace; getting back to the Y more religiously; bridge today (I won first place, which I never do and also bid and made two slams for a total of $10.) You probably did not understand any of that last part except the $10. Ate at Cheddars afterward with 4 other bridge friends.
I go both salty and sweet.
Sounds like a successful time to this clueless card-player 🙂
Oh, I totally understand about Chipotle. I need a good burrito bowl in my life every couple of weeks. That one looks so good! Thanks for linking up your faves. Have a great weekend! 🙂
Thanks for hosting, Heather! Have a great weekend 🙂
