Happy Friday! I hope it’s been a good week, and you’re looking forward to a weekend of whatever is fun for you, whether that’s a jam-packed social schedule, a bit of relaxation, or a lovely combination of the two. My parents are coming into town, since I have a fairly light weekend of school stuff for the first (and probably last) time this quarter, so I’m planning to spend the weekend with them.
Now, let’s end the week with some positivity by chatting about some of our favorites from the past few days.
- My Life Planner came!
I haven’t played with it (filled it in) yet because I was trying to be responsible and get all my work done first. But I really can’t wait. It comes with stickers and labels and a little folder and… AHHH it’s so perfect. I love it.
I had fallen into kind of a workout rut, doing the same elliptical/weights routine at the gym pretty much any time I went. These workout videos are the perfect boredom-buster – and they can be seriously intense! You can pick videos based on your desired intensity, the type of workout you’re looking for, the amount of time you have, the equipment you have, and more. I’ve loved doing these in place of hitting the fitness center for weekday workouts.
- Laughing Cow cheese
I’ve been loving these. I spread them on rice cakes, melt them over warm veggies, eat them with turkey slices, and dip carrots in them. They’re creamy and perfectly cheesy. So delicious.
- Alison Rosen is Your New Best Friend
This is a podcast that I absolutely love. It has undergone some changes recently, but the title kind of says it all. When you listen to it, you feel like you’re just in a room listening to your best friends. It’s extremely authentic and hilarious, and I highly recommend it.
- Nut butter
So this feels like cheating, because this always makes a week better. But hey, you can’t say something isn’t fantastic just because it’s always fantastic, ya know? Anyway, this is the remainder of my supply (read: it’s dwindling! I need more!) I love Peanut Butter & Company, Justin’s, Artisana, Barney Butter, and so many more. Basically, I haven’t met a nut butter I didn’t like.
On that happy note, I’ll call it a day. Have a lovely weekend, and I’ll hopefully talk to you on Monday!
What have your workouts been like lately?
What’s your stance on nut butter? Do you have a favorite?
What have you been loving this week?

It’s been an amazing (relaxing, delicious) weekend so far! I’ll be sure to recap it on Monday 🙂 Thanks for hosting!
Well, what do you know…I, too, have been really getting my love of Laughing Cow back this week! I started spreading it on a couple of rice cakes with my dinners as a side. My favorite flavor is the simple light swiss. I’ve also made a spread of the swiss with grape jam before?….AMAZING!
Ooooh the creamy and salty cheese and sweet jam sounds HEAVENLY. What a fabulous idea – I’ll have to try that!
Ooh! Your life planner looks intriguing! Congratulations on getting it!
I follow the workout plan outline in the book “The Metabolic Effect Diet”; the same sort of workout (rest-based interval strength training), but the workout set changes every two weeks. It’s pretty tough, though it might seem kind of boring to some people to keep doing the same basic thing, but I really like the whole program. 🙂
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE pretty much any nut butter I’ve tried!!! But my *absolute* FAV is peanut butter!! I don’t think I could live without it, even though I am mildly allergic and can only have it like once a week. 😛
Loving this week…my new addiction/craving/obsession: Pomegranate Balsamic Brussels Sprouts! So yummy…I love that combo! Also my new phone and software upgrade – so awesome and better than I expected. 🙂
Oh, and hope you enjoy your weekend with your parents! 😉
I think peanut butter gets my vote, too. Currently loving a million different nut butters. There might have to be an entire post on nut butters because I just… *melodramatic moment* they’re a big part of my life.
OH MY GOODNESS those Brussels sprouts sound fabulous! I really like Brussels sprouts, and that just sounds perfect sweet and tangy and flavorful. Do you have a recipe?
Ahh yay for new phones! I love getting them all set up and playing around. Have fun with that!!
