Happy Friday! I hope you’ve had a great week, and I hope you have fun things planned for the weekend. Or, hey, maybe you’re just relaxing this weekend. That’s fabulous, too, and you definitely deserve it. I have a paper to write, a math midterm to study for, and I’m attending a Women in Finance panel tomorrow… that I offered to photograph. Why? Who knows. They needed a photographer, and I’m not horrible. Excellent thought process, obviously
I thought it’d be nice to end the week with some discussion of things that’ve been making me happy this week. Feel free to comment and tell me what you’ve been loving this week!
- The weather
I know. I said I wasn’t a horrible photographer, and this is really dark. Ooops. Anyway, it’s been in the high-30s to low-40s this week, and it feels so fabulously warm. Almost all of the snow is gone now. After the first week back, anything consistently in the positive digits would feel great, so 30s and 40s are perfection. <– Never thought I’d say that. Ever.
- Gilmore Girls
Last night, I needed some background noise while I worked and relaxed. I tried having Chopped on via Netflix, but realized that Chopped is one of those shows that you benefit from seeing sometimes, and I was working on the computer. Hm. So, I started re-watching (okay, listening) to Gilmore Girls, and it was the perfect background noise. I’ve seen it enough that I don’t need to watch, but I love having the show on.
- Chobani coconut
I usually gravitate toward plain and vanilla Greek yogurt, but I picked up coconut last weekend out of curiosity. I also got green tea and grape – those are really good, too!. Basically, I’m loving it. Since it’s low-fat, not nonfat, it has an incredible texture, but it doesn’t taste like cream (my issue with low-fat plain) because it tastes like coconut.
- Erin Condren Life Planner
Remember how I’m a crazy list-maker? Yeah. Lately, I haven’t been satisfied with my planner, so I did some looking and found a lovely review by Amanda about this one. I ordered the quick version, because I didn’t feel like deciding on a cover, and got notice that it shipped yesterday. So excited.
- Sorel Toronto boots
I love black suede boots. Mine were falling apart at the soles, and I was sad. Apparently, not that many brands make nice black suede boots, because I did a lot of looking over winter break. I found these online, ordered them, and could not be happier. They’re comfy, and the soles are rubber, so they are easy to clean when they’re covered in salt, but they don’t look bad/cheap.
What are you loving this week?
Linking up with Clare today!

Ohhh girl you’re going to LOVE your new planner! I didn’t even realize how much of a planner junkie I was until I got mine and started decorating it like a crazy person. So.much.goodness.
Happy Friday!

Ahhh I can’t wait!
Have a great weekend 🙂
Haha totally agree about the weather! Anything above freezing makes me want to put on shorts and grab an iced coffee 😉 (ok maybe not yet…)
Also, great idea to listen to Gilmore Girls…Rory is the perfect study partner! LOL

I’ve seen a lot of shorts around here lately… but I’m not there quite yet 😉
Haha I didn’t even think about that, but sooo true! Rory and I would’ve been good friends.
Suede boots with rubber soles?? Never heard of it before, but…cute *and* practical!
BTW, I didn’t think the photo was horrible; I thought that the dark buildings accentuated the vivid blue sky. So, there you go…it’s all a matter of perspective. 😛
And I’m not sure I could *survive* somewhere where 30s-40s was warm!!! I live in the Seattle area, and however much I hate the rain, it never gets bitterly cold. Our bitterly cold is the record-breaking winters that make it down to the high teens-twenties. Most winters, we hang out in the 30s…less snow ( 🙁 ), but not so freezing. Keep warm!
Loving this week: I know this sounds weird, but NOT BEING SICK!! 😛 My sister has the flu, and we’re really hoping is doesn’t spread around the family…so far, so good. 😉 Also, I’ve been making myself this dairy/sugar-free drink that I patterned after the popular Salted Caramel Mocha drink, and this week I’ve treated myself several times…yummy! Oh, and chocolate…every week, chocolate must make the love list! 😛
Happy Friday, and have an awesome weekend/week!! 🙂
I thought the cold would bother me more; thankfully, it hasn’t 🙂
Ah! I hope you don’t get sick!
