Hi there! Happy Friday! What’s on your agenda for the weekend? Bet you can’t guess mine! Kidding. It’s schoolwork (and a run and some yoga and some cooking). Wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, I hope it’s exactly what you need.
What do you say we start it off right by looking back at some of our favorite things from the week? Let’s do it.
Tessemae’s Creamy Caesar
I found this at Whole Foods last week and I love it. Creamy dressings are very hit or miss for me, but this one has lots of flavor, so it’s all good by me. I mentioned on Wednesday that one of my favorite things is putting a little of this on some salmon and searing it, but it also works well with chicken. I’ve mixed it with canned tuna, and that’s really good, as well. Oh, and I love it on veggies. Basically, it’s ultra versatile and tasty.
Grandparent love
Hi, I’m going to brag about my grandparents for a little bit. First, after seeing my post about dropping yoga teacher training from my schedule, they sent me the nicest card, telling me that they were thinking of me and hoped my schedule was falling into place. It made me smile and cry all at the same time. My grandma even wrote a bunch of quotes in it, remembering that as a kid I was all sorts of obsessed with quotes. Yes, I was a weird kid. Second, they sent me a care package full of apples, sweet potatoes, veggies, dates, and some Whole30 snacks because they’re the most thoughtful people ever. It saved me from an emergency grocery trip last night.
I so appreciate them and their love. And I’ll appreciate the chocolate they sent me on February 1.
My Wall of Happy Reminders
And yes, I just named it that. The card that my grandparents sent me got added to the wall by my desk, where I keep cards and quotes and little notes people write me. I rotate them out and read them when I need a little confidence boost. Also, yes, the crookedness of my taping/hanging is bugging me. Don’t judge. Due to the location of my desk, my angle is pretty bad when I go to hang them up, so it’s only so obvious when I decide to take a picture.
Whole30 Chicken Tenders from Little Bits Of
I made these for lunch (and leftovers) yesterday and they’re soooo good. So good. I realized I didn’t have smoked paprika on hand, but I subbed in turmeric with a dash of oregano. Simple and flavorful and so easy.
Essential Oils Yoga
I’ve mentioned this before, but I went again last night and it was amazing. One of the yoga teachers who led my teacher training is very into essential oil, so she invites a distributor to come to a yoga class about once a month. They share 4-5 oils with the students throughout the practice and talk through the benefits of the oils and the benefits of the asanas, and it’s so relaxing and lovely.
Plus, I adore the people at my yoga studio. A few of my fellow teachers in training were there, so it was nice to catch up with them and the instructors, and hanging out at the studio just feels homey. Love it.
And that’s all from me for today. I’ll talk to you next week after, hopefully, a much less stressful weekend than last!
Loving lately: wonderful grandparents, a wall of happy, and #whole30 chicken tenders. #SweatPink Share on XYour turn:

Your grandparents are GEMS! That is so sweet of them; and that they even sent you Whole 30 friendly foods. My grandma is always praying for us, and she’s always so sweet to even do piano lessons over the phone with my sister.

Surprises from grandparents are the best. 🙂 I hope back-to-school is going well for you! This week I stress-ate allllll the sea salt dark chocolate, haha… this weekend Eric and I are going out for a date night for the first time in forever! 😀
“Well” is an overstatement probably, but I’m getting by 😛 Hope you enjoyed your date night!
