Hello, everybody! I hope the first full week of 2015 treated you well. It was my first week back to school, and it was definitely a good one. I do not have a lot of pictures from this week because it was so cold that I never wanted to take off my gloves. I wish that was an exaggeration, but… it’s really not. Anyway, I’ll recap the week and hopefully be back soon with some new “day in the life” and topical posts I have floating around. So, here are some things I’ve noticed first week:
- I love having class every day, rather than last quarter’s two days a week. It makes me feel good and productive and useful.
- I can deal just fine with cold. Really cold. But throw some snow that hits your face like little rocks in there, and I would really rather just stay inside, thankyouverymuch.
- Regardless of how cold it is, there is abundant room in life for milkshakes.
- I really actually like all of my classes and professors. I… couldn’t really say that last quarter.
- The food at home is so very much better than the food here.
- I knew it would be, but the campus is stunning when covered in snow.
- Saturday dinners off campus with friends are fun, even if you kind of have to motivate yourselves to leave the warm dorms.
- I love being able to sleep. Remember how I was always up at 5:30 last quarter? These days, I’m sleeping until almost 7:00 and loving it. Unfortunately, that’s going to change for at least this week. I’ll tell you why Tuesday. Promise. Get excited 🙂
- I’m starting to get back on a schedule and I love it.
Are you finding a routine after the inevitable holiday craziness?

We are trying out new routines, too, with help from the Timeful app. I love that you love your classes and Saturday evenings with friends.

I love Timeful! It’s one of the few “to-do” apps I’ve liked at all, but I find it really useful and love that it syncs with iCal!
Haha, our holiday season ended up being pretty low key, especially as the visiting fam left on Thanksgiving Day…so we’re still pretty much keeping with our same routine. 🙂
Love that the appeal of milkshakes is still going strong…I totally think frozen treats should be a year-round thing. Froyo’s my especial fav!!
I’ve been getting more/better sleep too!! Isn’t it just amazing how refreshed one feels?? Can’t wait for Tuesday’s reveal! 😉
That’s kind of nice, actually! Must’ve been fairly relaxing 🙂
Yes. The other appeal is that they’re only a dollar, which is kind of fabulous.
It is. Aaaand you’ll see that I obviously value sleep a lot more than the mystery activity 😉
