Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re enjoying your week so far. Mine has been really good, but I have a math midterm a few hours after this is published, so we’ll see if that holds 😉
I thought today I’d show you a fairly typical Tuesday for me this quarter. It’s a little less crazy than my Tuesdays last quarter, but I still keep plenty busy.
6:50 am – My roommate’s alarm goes off. I roll out of bed at 6:53 and go wash my face and brush my teeth.
7:05 am – I head back to my room, brush through my hair, and put on makeup while scrolling through Twitter and texting a couple of friends. I realize this is not efficient at all, but I’m not in any enormous hurry.
7:24 am – I make my bed. It makes me feel like I have my life together.
7:30 am – I lose any notion I had of having my life together by taking entirely too long to decide what to wear. If I wear workout clothes to class, I can go to the gym right after. But do I want to? I don’t know. I resolve the dilemma by wearing workout clothes in case I decide to go the gym. Fascinating, yes?
7:43 am – I head down to breakfast (part 1) and plan my day out and drink lemon water, which I love. No one is at the table because apparently it’s too early.
8:00 am – I come back to the room and eat breakfast (part 2) and wake up a little before class.
8:47 am – I leave for class and arrive at 8:54. Class starts at 9:01 and we talk a lot about Descartes’s arguments for the existence of God.
10:24 am – Class ends a little late. I’m talking to a couple other students and find myself wandering back toward the dorm. We discuss how mind-blowing this class is. We work (struggle) through the readings and argue in discussion and then walk out and realize that we just had fun. Crazy.
10:50 am – I decide to do a workout video in my room. Already wearing the clothes and such.
11:31 am – I shower and get ready and grab lunch before my next class.
1:03 pm – I turn in the paper for my philosophy class that’s due this evening and gather up my stuff to go to econ.
1:30 pm – Econ starts and we talk through a (very much condensed) history of economic thought.
2:50 pm – There’s a mad rush as everyone dives into various piles of graded exams. I emerge happy.
3:15 pm – I just walked back to my dorm to stretch my legs a little and check my mail (I’m bad about remembering to do this…), but now I leave again to head to my econ professor’s office hours. I really like going to office hours, whether I have questions or not.
3:29 pm – Arrive one minute early for office hours and pace awkwardly outside the office because I feel weird about being early. I actually go in at 3:30 and we talk about the exam and the class and the political/economic environment today. It’s fun.
4:15 pm – Another student arrives and tears into the professor about how he writes his exam questions.
4:22 pm – I very awkwardly duck out of the office because the situation is rather uncomfortable.
4:33 pm – I head back to the dorm, chat with my roommate, grab a snack, and check emails for a little while.
5:15 pm – I study for my math midterm and make my cheat sheet. I’m still in disbelief that I get a cheat sheet.
5:38 pm – Commiserate with a friend via text about writing papers.
6:00 pm – Call my dad to chat about our days for a little bit.
6:15 pm – I finish my cheat sheet. Honestly, I’ll probably find something else to add just to fill it up a bit.
6:35 pm – Grab dinner. Chat with a friend about summer plans, writing papers, and our shared dislike for Aristotle.
7:00 pm – Head back upstairs and gather up my stuff for my SWS meeting. I also snag a handful of trail mix, since I won’t be back for a couple of hours and I usually would snack then or eat dinner later.
7:30 pm – SWS meeting. We talk about the state of the markets and then learn a bit about financial statements.
9:00 pm – Walk back to the dorm with a friend. Answer another friend’s questions about our math midterm. Start planning out my parents’ trip here this weekend.
9:34 pm – Finally sit down with my snack and start writing this post. Catch up on social media and blogs and such.
10:55 pm – Bed at last 🙂
Hmmm… tell me about your day?

You already know all about my days. 🙂
I am in love with your pictures! I hope it is that pretty when we visit this weekend. Maybe a walk around campus is in order on Saturday?

I’m sure that can be arranged 😉 You’d love Saieh (that’s the second campus picture).
Nice job tracking your days — way down to the tiny details. Cute blog too.
Thanks, Abby! 🙂
Haha, having my bed made makes me feel like I’m more together, too, and so I usually make it right away…ironically, yesterday was the first time in forever that I didn’t, and it made me feel slovenly. 😛
Tuesdays are usually jammed for us, as that is our regular grocery shopping day and when we came home, we wash, chop and pack away all the fresh veggies (of which there seems to be more than twice what you’d expect for a family of six ;P)…which takes up most of the day. Fun, though, because we all work together and listen to an audiobook aloud while we work in the kitchen. 😉
Aw, that’s so fun! I love grocery shopping and food prep (is that weird?), and it’s such a nice little tradition that you do it together and listen to an audiobook 😀
