Hey there! Happy Tuesday! Did you get slammed with snow this weekend? I… did not! Chicago hasn’t gotten a whole lot of snow (or too much extreme cold) this year, and I can’t say I’m unhappy about it. Snow is pretty for five seconds and a pain for a lot longer than that. Anyhow, I think I owe you a little bit of a weekend recap. Not because it was a particularly exciting one, but just because that’s what I do. It’s been a while since I’ve broken it down by the numbers, so let’s do that, shall we?
5: Hours I spent at Hyatt Place on Friday before heading to CorePower for a C2 class that I didn’t end up taking. More on that…
1.5: Migraine days I had this weekend. I had one Friday night (hence the skipping yoga). Ugh. I hadn’t had a real migraine since O-Week in September. Seriously no fun. Also, when you wear sunglasses inside at college, people don’t readily believe it’s because you have a migraine. I tried and failed to sleep it off on Friday night, which led to another migraine day on Saturday.
3: Sets of review problems I did Saturday in preparation for my statistics midterm on Thursday.
8: Banana Nut Butter Muffins I ate while doing aforementioned stat review.
{That times 8}
I would be embarrassed, but they’re freaking delicious. (Might’ve eaten one while writing this, too. Maybe.)
2: Zzzquil pills I took at 5:00 pm on Saturday. I was exhausted and I ran out of stat problems to do. I had no other obligations. I was determined to try to sleep. So, I ate a super-early dinner and snacked a little and hoped for the best. I know I can’t take Zzzquil with any regularity because I need to allow a long time for sleeping. Otherwise, I just feel foggy for the entire next day. But I had time on Saturday.
45: Minutes between taking the Zzzquil and starting to feel its effects. I was talking to a friend and slowly started putting my head on the table. She left me to get ready for bed.
12: Hours I slept on Zzzquil. 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Was it perfect sleep? No. Was it as good as natural sleep? Probably not. But I totally needed it, either way.
52: Notifications/semi-important emails/texts I awoke to on Sunday morning. Including texts from friends who figured I’d be awake at normals times, like 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Fortunately, nothing urgent.
18: Stat problems I worked through on Sunday. A new problem set was posted while I slept.
10: “Be Like Bill” trials I ran for myself during a study break. This fact is mildly embarrassing, but hey.
Most of them were accurate. This one… not so much. ?
15: Recipe ideas I wrote in my planner this weekend.
0: Idea of when I’m going to find time to test them. Midterm season starts this week and pretty much lasts a month. Quarters move fast, folks!
How was your weekend?

So sorry about your bummer weekend. I won’t even mention the lovely St. Kitts weather –and food.

No big deal! Enjoy your vacation 🙂
I’ve seen those Be Like Bill things all over FB lately and they are so funny! Twelve hours of sleep is great. I tried to catch up on sleep this weekend not because I felt sick but my body was tired. A lot of cat cuddling happened and I am not sorry about it. Have a great week!
I hope you’re feeling better, Ellie!
Hahaha I’ve been seeing those memes everywhere on Facebook recently and the one you got is just about as inaccurate as possible (for both you and me!) Too funny.
And I hope your migraines are gone for good now- no fun 🙁
Thanks, Liv! I’m feeling much better 🙂
No fun for migraines :/
Here’s my number…30!! inches of fluffy white snow 😉
Whoa! That’s a lot of snow! Stay safe 🙂
I love how creative these numbers posts are! I don’t know how you think of it all, Ellen! Sooo sorry about your migraines…hugs!! ?
Haha thanks, Hannah!
I hope you are feeling better. I get them sometimes–I think it is a combo of the heat and the changes in weather. And thank goodness we didn’t get snow (for once)
Changes in the weather (barometric pressure) are huge for me. I was super grateful for the lack of snow here 🙂
Those “be like” things on Facebook are so ridiculous. So sorry about the migraines 🙁 Those are THE WORST. I used to get migraines a lot and now rarely do but I think they went away with age? That’s what my mom thinks anyways.
Mine have gotten a lot better with “age”, so hopefully that trend continues!
