I have very few things to report from yesterday. Basically, I got up super early, drove for a long time (with a quick stop in Alloway), and got on a boat to cross from Scotland to Northern Ireland. It was a beautiful and smooth boat ride, but a long one. Also, my hair became a tangled mess really quickly in the wind. The whole journey took around five hours.
Then, we ended up on a quick tour around Belfast, which many of you probably know used to be wrought with religious turmoil. It has quite turned itself around, though. When we stopped for a drink at the end of the tour, I managed to swing by a small grocery store to get a few side salads and a bag of carrots because my body is hating the lack of vegetables on this trip. Snacked on the entire bag of carrots on the next bus trip and it felt SO GOOD.
Another two and a half hours took us to Dublin for the evening, where I opted to have a chill night. I wandered around the streets by the hotel, picked up a few snacks for the coming days, and got dinner at Boojum, which is basically Chipotle. So, vegetables and chicken and avocado – everything I haven’t had for four days. I was thrilled. I crashed in bed with my salad and more chocolate and Gossip Girl. It’s the first night I’ve been in before 9:30 on this trip. I feel like I’m starting to get a cold, so it was what I needed.
Your turn:
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a long day?
Do you prefer ground transport, planes, or boats?
SuzLyfe says
I think you are going about this the right way with your mixture of transporation styles. So much of the rich history of Britain was created thanks to boat and ground transport! Though I bet a helicopter ride through would be gorgeous.

Oooh I wanna go on a helicopter!
I would have hung out at the cemetery awhile, you probably could have, too. The bridge with the pop of red is making my heart happy! It’s like you are subconsciously thinking about me. ?
You know me, I am not a good car passenger, nor do I do airplanes without medicinal assistance. I love being near the water, so I guess board win
My favorite way to unwind is to go on a lon walk. Today was the perfect day to enjoy a walk at Prarie Oaks. I love hanging with you and your dad, too!
Hope you are feeling better when you read this in the morning. Love you bunches!!!
Hahaha good thing we’re cruising in December then!
Oh no! I hope you’re feeling better now!
I much prefer planes to boats but I can do trains and cars here and there for shorter periods!
I’m FINALLY getting over the cold now. Took long enough!
